My mom started her business (she now owns a home/gift shop) by bringing things she made to craft shows. She also always enlisted my help in running her booths. She usually did really well with the them, and once she'd done a few she got tips from other crafters about the best shows. I have to admit, I hated doing them with a passion - setting up the tent, the tables...part of the problem being that my mom and I both thought we knew best about everything.
